Mr. Bake caters to the greater Washington, D.C area with his made to order sweet treats, all baked from scratch and in small batches.

In 2010, Mr. Bake packed up his whisks and mixing bowls and re-located to Alexandria VA, where he got a sweet opportunity to work as a cake decorator and become part of the opening team for Fluffy Thoughts Cakes, located in Mclean VA. At Fluffy Thoughts Cakes, Mr. Bake was able to sharpen his skills and take his attention to detail to the next level and learn a lot of valuable lessons, that one day he would take with him to use when he opens his store front.
After leaving Fluffy Thoughts Cakes, Mr. Bake switched gears to General Manager for Crumbs Bake shop. In the midst of his employment with Crumbs, Mr. Bake felt compelled to start his own business. In June 2012, Mr. Bake LLC was born.

Mr. Bake, born Kareem Queeman, was raised on the sweet streets of Sugar Hill, in Harlem, NY. Mr. Bake’s passion Ok no problem it's marzettejs@aafes.com... That's my work email sooo lol u know what that means!! baking started in middle school where he enrolled in a few cooking classes, which sparked a deeper love of baking and pastries. Kareem received the name “Mr. Bake” from one of his greatest friends Jerome Williams, which quickly became the name Kareem is known as.
Mr. Bake took his interest in all things sweet and found himself starting his career and enrolling in Monroe College Culinary Arts program in New York City. Getting his AS and BS while attending Monroe College, Mr. Bake worked at some of New York City’s leading bakeries, such as Carrot Top Pastries, Make My Cake, Sara Beth bakery, and Billy’s bakery.
